Scarlett Johansson: Hollywood’s Highest-Paid Actress For Her Black Widow Role

Following the list of the 10 highest-paid actors of the year, Forbes has just announced the Top 10 highest-paid actresses in the past 12 months (from June 1, 2018 to June 1, 2019). Notably, Scarlett Johansson continues to hold the top spot after topping this expensive list last year. According to data released by the magazine on August 23, the beauty who plays Black Widow in the Marvel Cinematic Universe earned $56 million in 2019.

This huge income comes largely from the salary of the beauty born in 1984 when she appeared in the blockbuster Avengers: Endgame, which was released in late April 2019 and earned more than 2.8 billion USD. It is known that in the work marking the tragic sacrifice of Black Widow, Scarlett Johansson was paid a salary of up to 35 million USD by Marvel, making her join the list of the most expensive stars on the Hollywood big screen. Although she died in the journey to collect the Infinity Stones to save half of the world in Avengers: Endgame , the 35-year-old actress’s character is preparing to be released by Marvel in a separate film exploiting the prequel of this hot, sexy, brave and strong female superhero.

The Hollywood Reporter magazine also reported that the ex-wife of “Deadpool” Ryan Reynolds was paid up to 15 million USD by the studio for her performance in the aforementioned solo film. Marvel’s payment for Scarlett Johansson is as high as the two famous stars Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth in the blockbuster Avengers: Infinity War (2018). 15 million USD is also the amount that the two actors earned when playing Captain America and Thor in the solo films Captain America: Civil War and Thor: Ragnarok .
